REGISTRATION

Natick Public Schools uses PowerSchool Enrollment for new student registrations.

Admission to Kindergarten: For admission to kindergarten in Natick, a child must be five years of age on or before August 31, of the year in which the child will enter kindergarten.

Admission to First Grade: For admission to first grade in Natick, a child must be six years of age on or before August 31 of the year in which the child will enter first-grade.

Registration Process

Please read all instructions before beginning. Do not begin this process until you are physically residing in Natick.

STEP 1:  Online Registration:

Create a PowerSchool Enrollment account to be used for all new student registration forms. Make a note of the credentials for future registrations.

Once the account exists, the dashboard appears and there are links to the New Student Registration forms.  Please note you may log back in at any time using your saved credentials. 

Click New Student Registration. You are initially prompted to enter in the student's name and date of birth.  Then click Add Student. There are several required sections of the New Student Registration form which display on the left side of the screen.  You will not be able to submit your online registration without completing each section of the form. 

In the summary section you will be able to review your form. Once the status is green for each section, the form may be submitted to the registrar. On the final submit page, you may print your form if needed. Navigate to the dashboard to start a new registration form for an additional child.

STEP 2: Required Documents:

  • Child’s Original Birth Certificate

  • Physical Examination Form and Immunization Record

    Immunization and Physical Information from NPS Director of Nursing (it is acceptable if your doctor uses a different form to compile this information, as long as our required information is included, and the record is complete.

  • Proof of Residency (Column A)

  • Proof of Occupancy (Column B)

  • Parent/Guardian Photo Identification (Column C)

All applicants for enrollment must submit at least one document from each Column A, B and C and any other documents that may be requested, including but not limited to those from Column A, B or C noted below.

Column A: Proof of Residency

Column B: Proof of Occupancy

Column C: Photo Identification

Property tax bill or record of recent mortgage payment

Gas, electric, oil, cable, internet bill, or landline telephone bill

Valid MA Driver's License 

Fully signed and executed lease (must be executed by both parties

Note:  Bill must be dated within the past 45 days and must include your name and address

Valid MA Photo Identification

Fully signed & executed purchase and sale agreement (P&S) provided residency occurs within 45 days of enrollment

Excise tax bill

Valid Passport 

Residency Affidavit

Recent bill dated within the past 45 days showing name and Natick address. NOTE: A Residency Affidavit is required with this option

Other government issued photo Identification 

Section 8 Agreement

Other Documents required for placement:

  • If applicable, Custody Documents / Caregiver Affidavit

  • If applicable, English Language Learner Transcript/ACCESS and WIDA Scores

  • If applicable, IEP/504 plan - if child receives special education services

  • High School and Middle School Only, Student Transcripts and Discipline Records

Failure to provide these documents at the registration appointment will delay your student(s) enrollment.  

STEP 3:  Registration Appointment

By appointment only - No Walk-Ins Accepted

Please do not schedule your appointment until you have all your required documents. All required documents must be submitted, at one time, during your registration appointment. Students cannot be enrolled until these items are reviewed and verified. 

A parent, guardian, or student who is unable to produce the required documents should contact the Registrar. Should you arrive for your appointment without the required documents, your appointment will have to be rescheduled.  For your convenience, we have provided a link (below) to a checklist for your use.
